Young Gerrards Cross all-rounder Jonny Hughes returned a six-wicket haul for Bucks in our rain-affected draw with Norfolk at Burnham in the Minor Counties Championship Eastern Division. In the last match of what has been a disappointing campaign, seamer Hughes returned 6-51 to restrict Norfolk's first innings lead to 55 runs, after we had been bowled out on the first day for 149. Bucks fared better second time around, making 201-5 before time ran out, courtesy of a classy 84 from Farnham Royal captain Warren Miller. Out of six Championship games, we finished with one win and three defeats, having been dogged by injuries and the unavailability of several senior players. On a more optimistic note, several younger players appeared for the Senior team for the first time and showed genuine promise. Full scorecard |
