Saif Zaib stars in Bucks win

mom saif cambSaif receives his MOM from president and life member Stuart YorkA brilliant all-round display by Saif Zaib helped Bucks gain a convincing six-wicket victory over Cambridgeshire in the first round of the Unicorns Counties KO Trophy at High Wycombe on Sunday.
The Wycombe teenager, who is contracted to Northants, claimed five wickets and then scored a half-century as Bucks won through to a second-round tie against Suffolk at Ipswich School on Sunday, May 20.
The match, played on a cold grey day, did not start well for Bucks after they had put the visitors into bat.

But the visitors slowed down as they lost wickets, but were still wellplaced at 157-4 in 30 overs.
Then left-arm spinner Saif sparked an amazing collapse which saw Cambridgeshire lose their last six wickets for 20 runs to be all out for 177. Their last five wickets fell for four runs in 23 balls.
Saif, who had a spell 5-7 in 25 balls, finished with figures of 5-24 off 9.4 overs.
He then got the Bucks reply off to a flying start with 51 from 56 balls before holing out.
hampton capSkipper is awarded his county cap by Jason HarrisonShelvin Gumbs was caught in the deep for 36, but Garry Park (29no) steered Bucks to victory to with 3.5 overs to spare to give new captain Tom Hampton a winning start.
Bucks will be hoping to maintain this good form when they play Berkshire in the T20 double-header at Amersham next Monday.
This is the first time the delightful Shardeloes ground has staged a Bucks match for nearly 20 years. The two games start at 11am and about 3.30pm
