Under 10s win final game
On Sunday 8 August Buckinghamshire U10 played Hampshire U10 at the Hardmoor Sports Ground Solent University

Buckinghamshire won the toss and decided to bat, scoring 176 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in 40 overs

Tom Petrie                57 runs    Ballinger Waggoners CC and The Beacon School
Adam King               11 runs    Buckingham Town CC and Bourton Meadow School
Ross Hanekom         27 runs    The Lee CC and The Beacon School
Freddie Thompson    26 runs    Ballinger Waggoners CC and The Beacon School
Tom Petrie opened the innings and played a fine anchor role, batting 38 overs for his second fifty of the season. He was ably supported by all the batsmen at the other end and a challenging total was set

In reply Hampshire were bowled out for 150 runs in 38 overs

Hamish Smart       7 overs    1 maiden     30 runs    1 wicket      Gerrards Cross CC and Gayhurst School
Connor Thomas    8 overs    1 maiden     30 runs    1 wicket      Great Kingshill CC and Great Kingshill Combined School
Nouman Aslam     8 overs    3 maidens      9 runs    3 wickets    Chesham CC and Hawridge and Cholsbury School
Albert Johnson      4 overs    0 maidens    22 runs    1 wicket      Buckingham Town CC and Buckingham Primary School

Hampshire got off to a flier scoring 59 runs of the loss of one wicket in 13 overs. Nouman Aslam came on to bowl and strangled the life out of the Hampshire batsmen and got Buckinghamshire back into the game. Tight bowling and excellent support by the fielders saw the pressure applied further as Hampshire fell further and further behind the required run rate

The differance between the two sides was the fielding. Buckinghamshire were superb, with four run outs, Max Hutt was parturalily on fire with two direct hits. The winning margin was the differance in extras between the two sides

Buckinghamshire won by 26 runs

This was the conclusion of the U10 season. A very fine squad with an excellent team spirit. Played 15, Won 7, Tied 1, Lost 3, Winning Draw 1, Losing Draw 1, Abandoned 2,
